Compulsory Insurance Types and Other Responsibilities of Assurance Account
This insurance covers the financial liability imposed on motor vehicle operators under Road Traffic Law (Law No. 2918), dated October 13, 1983, and published on October 18, 1983 under registration number 18195.
This insurance, established under Council of Ministers Decisions No. 2010/190, 2001/2443, and amended No. 87/12028, provides coverage for personal injuries and material damages suffered directly by third parties due to accidents caused by individuals or entities engaged in professional activities related to hazardous materials. Coverage is provided up to the limits specified in the policy in accordance with the applicable General Conditions.
This insurance, based on the Council of Ministers Decision No. 91/2481, published on 20 December 1991 under registration number 21087, covers personal injuries and material damages resulting from explosions, gas leaks, or fires caused by LPG cylinders filled, refilled, or distributed by authorized dealers or directly supplied to consumers. The coverage is limited to the amounts specified in the policy, in accordance with the applicable General Conditions.
This insurance, enacted under the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2015/7249 dated January 26, 2015, and published on 6 May 2015 under registration number 29348, provides coverage for death and disability of personnel employed in underground and surface coal mining and non-coal mining activities. The coverage applies to accidents occurring during the execution of these activities, up to the amounts specified in the policy.
This insurance covers damages caused by motor vehicles entrusted to professionals engaged in activities such as supervision, repair, maintenance, purchase, sale, or modification of motor vehicles. Coverage is provided up to the limits specified in the policy.
This insurance, based on Road Transportation Law (Law No. 4925), published on 19 July 2003 under registration number 25173, provides coverage for the liability of the insured for personal injuries sustained by passengers traveling in the insured vehicle during accidents occurring from departure to arrival, including stops. The coverage is limited to the amounts specified in the policy. (This insurance was repealed following amendments to Road Transportation Law under Law numbered 6704, published on 26 April 2016 under registration number 29695.)
This insurance, based on the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2004/6789, published on 25 February 2004 under registration number 25384, and issued under the provisions of Law No. 4925, provides coverage for drivers, assistants, and passengers engaged in domestic and international passenger transportation. Coverage is valid for the duration of the transportation service, from commencement to completion, for any accidents that may occur during travel. The coverage is provided under the applicable General Conditions.
Other Responsibilities Beyond Compensation Payments
In accordance with Article 20, paragraph 2(a) of Insurance Law No. 5684, Assurance Account is responsible for managing the insurance portfolios of insurance companies whose management has been transferred to the Account.
Pursuant to the Regulation on Monitoring Compulsory Insurance, published on 9 August 2014 under registration number 29083, the Account is assigned to oversee the issuance and renewal of compulsory insurance policies.
The Account manages the processes of announcements, collection, and payments related to the Regulation on Unclaimed Funds under Private Law Insurance Provisions, published on 8 October 2013 under registration number 28789.
